Privacy statement

Oxfordshire branch asks for and holds limited personal data on members and dancers, and we use cookies on our website. 

The branch is committed to protecting the security of your personal information in accordance with the principles set out in the Data Protection Acts (DPA) of 1994 and 1998, and the General Data Protection Regulations 2018.  This privacy statement explains how we use the personal information that you provide us.

The personal data we hold are provided by members and dancers and can include: name, email address, phone numbers and postal address. We are required to keep that information up to date and to have an opt-in from you agreeing that we may contact you. We retain personal data for up to two years after your membership lapses, or your last contact with the branch.

We have a legitimate interest in processing these personal data to administer your membership, to manage the branch, and to contact you with information on branch classes and events.  The personal data are used by the committee and stored on password-protected computers. We will not share your personal data with any third party unless there is a legal obligation on us to do so, or we are required to do so to administer your membership.

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information held by us in our records.  You also have the right to ask us to correct any inaccuracies in your information, to restrict how we use it, or object to its use.  If you would like to exercise any of your rights under the data protection laws, please contact the Secretary.
